1. Who we are
This policy explains how Yera ("Yera", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our photo-book service. By using Yera you agree to this policy.
2. What we collect
- Account details — your email address and, optionally, a display name.
- Your photos and text — the images and captions you upload for your books, including information embedded in the photos such as the date taken and, where present, GPS location (used for the optional date stamps and map features).
- Order & delivery details — your name and shipping address, collected at checkout so your book can be printed and delivered.
- Payment information — handled directly by our payment provider (Stripe). We never receive or store your full card number.
- Basic usage data — standard logs (e.g. device/browser type) needed to run and secure the service.
- Advertising measurement — if you arrive from one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram, Meta's pixel sets a cookie that records the pages you visit and whether you sign up or place an order. When you buy, we send Meta your order value and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email, phone and delivery details so it can tell us which ad led to the order. Meta never receives your photos or book contents.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to provide the service: to build, preview, print and ship your books; to process payments; to send you order-related emails (confirmation, production, shipping with tracking, and refunds); to provide support; and to keep the service secure and working; and to measure which of our ads work and show them to people likely to be interested. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos for advertising.
